Apple Watch Idea

With the Apple watch idea this initially sprung from the launch of the Samsung watch. All inspiration was driven from this launch being blast fully unaware that Apple plan on bringing one out themselves in the near future. This has only just been known to myself. However, the one they plan on designing is solely fitness based which measure blood pressure, logs all forms of fitness and also giving a regime with elements of existing apple features whereas the idea I have for how I would design the watch is completely different. This would be a smart watch that can have everything  set up from your phone and be completely mobile operated in terms of updates. This would be aimed at sports personnel fuelling all sports activities making it easier for those athletics people however, it would also be a fashion accessory for those who are not interested in sports.

Although primarily targeting the sports equipped personnel it could attract a secondary consumer which is where majority of the money could come into the business due to them wanting to have every apple product starting a collection. This would be a squares shape like the size of the Ipod nano. This would be lightweight and allow an easier and more confortable fitted watch to sit on the wrist which would be waterproof.

The features that this watch would include are making calls, listening to music,  weather updates, messages and emails  and additionally the health option would be a part of this design but this would be optional to all consumers. News, calls, internets and auto lock are other features that I would of included within this design. This would be completely unique to Apple and existing as well as new consumers would want to buy into this product and gain a wider service from Apple themselves.

In terms of promotion, this would be seen in stores, on their existing website being a feature to the homepage and having an extra tab to identify how this is new, magazine, news/newspapers, posters, billboards, adshels, social media websites, mail outs and on the app store. This would be displayed on a large scale.
