With 'Selfridges Flower Service' being a completely new service for the brand this means that I am left to my own creativity in terms of promotion. As Selfridges is a high end, premium retailer that stands out to a variety of consumers of all ages I believe that the continuity should be kept and a uniform will be designed to allow the service to support that luxury aesthetics and also to allow the staff working within the service to become easily approachable for the consumer making their shopping experiences as easy and possible ensuring that they leave with a positive attitude about the service.
With this being so, this needs to be formal yet still slightly casual as they will be working with flowers which means that this could become messy with water and mud stains due to these coming from a supplier. This is slightly early in terms of approach as I am not making this yet however, I want to know what will be being designed for the service.
Uniform will include;
Name tag
Shirt/ Polo shirt
Trousers
Apron
Cap?
The use of a cap is questionable due to the brand image as this could link in with a lower end brand however, this will be determined within the design elements once this is created I will review this and see how this looks.
A corporate uniform is something that I knew this service would always contain due to the brands name and the existing uniform that is given, this will work alongside this but be more modern and laid back in terms of style due to having to for safety reasons. This will be designed later on in the development process.
